SAVANNAH, GA – The Kearney Companies – Savannah, LLC along with its parent company, Precision Terminal Logistics (PTL), are pleased to announce a new lease arrangement with Brookfield Properties for its CSX rail-served commodity distribution facility that Kearney has operated for over twelve years located on 6030 Commerce Blvd in Garden City, GA. The warehouse is a 397,500 square foot facility that is rail served by CSX. The facility is located 1.5 miles from the Georgia Port Authority’s - Garden City Container Terminal, and this location is the closest CSX rail-served warehouse to the Port of Savannah Container Terminal in Garden City, GA.
This new lease between Kearney Savannah and Brookfield Properties enables an extension of Kearney’s established 3PL logistics service offerings in Savannah, GA. These services include ocean container drayage, CSX boxcar transloading, commodity distribution, and related 3PL services that are catered to import and export commodities like rolled pulp, rolled packaging products, baled pulp, bundled plywood, unitized products like super sacks (totes), and export baled cotton. The new lease is a 5-year lease that went into effect in January of 2024, and includes an additional 5-year extension period, effectively making the lease a ten-year lease term.
Brookfield Properties is finalizing several significant facility updates, including a new roof, fresh exterior painting, replacement of old dock levelers and conversion of the interior and exterior lighting systems to more energy-efficient LED lighting. These investments by Brookfield Properties in the Commerce Blvd facility, and Kearney’s commitment to new lease, emphasize the parties’ shared commitment to the Savannah gateway. The parties are making commitments to the shippers that utilize these facilities while also supporting new cargo growth and fostering continued job creation in the region.
