The Kearney Companies, Inc (KCO) established Third Party Logistics (3PL) services in the Port of New Orleans, LA in 1996.
Our company's 3PL services are supported by four generations of warehousing and 3PL experience. Today, we operate over 1,000,000 square feet of rail-served warehouse capacity and over 45 acres of yard capacity in the New Orleans area, making The Kearney Companies one of the largest 3PL's in the Gulf South.
Our services include commodity warehousing, deconsolidation, barge and rail transloading with full service container drayage operations. Our mission is to help our clients establish efficient supply chains that enable flexibility and competitive total logistics costs. Our focus on customer service, our state-of-the-art supply chain management systems, and our unique infrastructure enable our clients to experience superior supply chain visibility and control.
The Kearney Companies, Inc. is headquartered in New Orleans, LA and has a Savannah, GA location. Kearney Companies employs a staff of logistics professionals. We work in close partnership with the Port of New Orleans, The New Orleans Public Belt Railroad, all six class one railroads and a variety of other transportation and logistics partners to develop trade opportunities for the Greater New Orleans Region.

The Kearney Companies, Inc has focused on applying proven technologies to increase supply-chain performance for our customers. In addition to an internally developed forecasting and dispatch management system (DMS), The Kearney Companies uses a best of breed supply chain management software platform called Davinci by The Wolin Design Group. The Kearney Companies, Inc has also licensed an advanced railroad technology platform through GE Transportation, a Wabtec company called ShipperConnect. This platform enables Kearney to forecast and manage all rail related movements for our bulk transload operations, rail storage operations and our dimensional cargo movements. The ShipperConnect products is directly interfaced with all US Class One Railroads and the New Orleans Public Belt (NOPB) for timely and efficient information flow on railcar movements to and from our locations in New Orleans, LA and elsewhere.

In 2023, The Kearney Companies joined IWLA as a new member. This partnership will allow for greater collaboration with IWLA members on running successful warehouse-based logistics services and to promote a high standard of business ethics for our company and others in our industry.
